Re-Connect Program

Connecting people to opportunity through technology

The Re-Connect Program helps remove a major barrier to stability: lack of reliable technology.

Why Technology Matters

So much of everyday life now happens online.

Without a computer, it can be difficult to apply for jobs, create a resume, access benefits, check email, research resources, or explore remote work.

For someone already trying to regain stability, that digital gap can become one more obstacle.

What Re-Connect Does

Starkville Strong collects donated laptops, computers, and devices from businesses, corporations, and individuals.

Devices are wiped, prepared, and distributed to clients who need technology to pursue employment, increase income, and access essential resources.

Re-Connect

More Than a Device

Re-Connect is directly connected to our case management program.

We assess each client's situation, goals, and employment needs so the technology becomes a practical tool for moving forward, rather than simply another item being distributed.

What Access Can Make Possible

Clients can use their devices to:

Search and apply for jobs

Create resumes and manage email

Apply for benefits and services

Research resources and opportunities

Explore remote work, second jobs, and side income

Communicate with employers and service providers

Support

Support Through Our Career Corner

Clients also have access to Starkville Strong's Career Corner, where they can work in our office and receive hands on assistance from our Program Director.

That support can include resumes, job applications, email, online resources, and navigating employment opportunities.

Connecting Technology to Income

The primary goal of Re-Connect is to reconnect people to opportunities that can increase income.

That may mean finding a traditional job, working from home, securing a second job, or developing another source of income.

More income creates more room to address housing, transportation, food, utilities, and other factors that affect long term stability.

Goes beyond providing a laptop

It creates access, builds capability, and gives clients another practical tool for navigating resources, creating income, and moving toward independence.

Technology should not be the reason someone cannot move forward.
